About GovPath
GovPath is a step-by-step guide to winning your first federal government contract. It walks small business owners through SAM.gov registration, set-aside certifications, and finding real opportunities — in plain English, without a consultant.
Why GovPath exists
GovPath was built because federal contracting is a maze. The government spends hundreds of billions of dollars a year with small businesses, but the path to that money runs through UEI numbers, SAM.gov, NAICS codes, size standards, and a stack of set-aside certifications — each with its own portal, its own jargon, and its own way to get stuck.
TurboTax didn't change the tax code; it just made an impossible process understandable for regular people. GovPath does the same thing for government contracting: one clear path, one step at a time, explained in words that make sense.
Who built it
GovPath is an independent product built by Jonathan Lenihan in California. It is not a government website and is not affiliated with any government agency.
